Swimming Pool 'de Zandzee'
Directly next to the existing swimming pool in Bussum, Sportfondsen Amsterdam had built a new swimming pool including sports hall. The design is characterized by the curved shapes of the roof.
From the entrance the visitor looks through a large circular facade directly to the toddler/recreational pool where a wild water creek is placed with a large whirlpool. In addition, there is a multifunctional pool and 6-lane 25m competition pool. The changing rooms and offices are located behind the swimming pools as well as a therapeutic pool with a moveable bottom.
This facility houses many installations, such as a water treatment installation for the total water capacity of 2.413.000 litres. To guarantee the water quality in the swimming pools, it is being checked 24 hours a day. (op de Nederlandse site staat het ook verkeerd omschreven, begint als een bepaalde zin, maar eindigt als een andere) No less than 11 air treatment installations that work independently from each other were installed to create a pleasant climate in the building. All together the capacity of the systems is 124.00 m3/h.
In short: this is a building with style.
